The Indian government has introduced the Agnipath Scheme, a four-year enlistment plan, aimed at recruiting non-commissioned personnel into the army, navy, and airforce. The individuals chosen for the program are referred to as Agniveers and the scheme offers over 46,000 job openings with a minimum educational requirement of 10th, 12th, or ITI.

Salary Agniveer (SSR) and Agniveer (MR)

The total salary displayed above will include the appropriate allowances as determined by the Government of India periodically. However, no Dearness Allowance (DA) or Military Service Pay (MSP) will be included in the Agniveer salary, as it is a comprehensive compensation package.

Agniveers will receive a personalized and attractive monthly package, including Risk and Hardship allowances as appropriate in the three branches of service. They will not have to contribute to the Armed Forces Personnel Provident Fund or any other Provident Fund, and they will not be entitled to receive any gratuity or pension. Additionally, they will not be qualified for benefits under the Army Group Insurance Fund (AGIF) schemes.

Agniveer Compensation, Benefits, and Associated Perks

Agniveers will receive a personalized compensation package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed annual increase. They will also receive risk and hardship allowances, as well as dress and travel allowances.

Agniveer Terminal Benefits

Seva Nidhi Package: Agniveers will receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package upon completion of their engagement period, which will consist of their monthly contributions plus a matching contribution from the government, as specified below: –

Agniveer Provident Fund Plan

Agniveers will not have to contribute to any government Provident Funds. They will not receive any gratuity and will not be eligible for pension benefits. The Seva Nidhi package will be tax-free.
